750 ml bottle shared at the original Chez Moeder Lambic’s cellar. Light hazy orange color with no head. Light malty and yeasty aroma, funky, bretty, barnyard, citrusy fruity, orange, vinous, wood. Light sweet and moderate to heavy acidic taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

@ A day to sink all seasheppards. Thnx for sharing, everyone !! Pours rather clear amber. No real head. Smell is funk, dry, some oak. Mild sourness. Taste is intensely sour, but in all the wrong ways. Acid, lemon, lactic, infection sourness.... Not nearly where it should be. Cool to have ticked another ’geuze’ but its a shame to compare this to a real geuze.

Tasting at Matt’s
Hazy orange-amber color with small to no head. Nice aroma, old cellar, mold, some cobwebs, also a bit cheesy, lightly fruity. Lowly carbonated, hence the mouthfeel is a bit oily; there is some malt flavor, but the acidity is nasty, with acetone, chemical acetic acid, Band Aid.
Out of balance, weird, really not pleasant.

Bottle - Oaky barrel notes, sour fruit and some ketchup. Cloudy orange and no head. Tart vinegar, spice and ketchup. Lots of weird flavours.

22 oz. bottle, pours an almost completely flat orange with a few bubbles as head. Nose is quite tart, with loads of oak, moderate vinegar, and medium tartness. Flavour brings out oak, vinegar and loads of tartness. Very vinegary and oaky, with totally flat carbonation. Not an authentic gueuze by any means, but quite a cool funky sour blonde ale nonetheless. Nice one to try.

Bottle from Adam in Chicago maybe 2 years ago? Opened split 2 ways with a friend at 45 F in stemware. Allowed to warm / decant over time. Excited to try this one.
A - Blood orange appearance, totally flat/still. Nothing at all going on.
S - Nose is really nice. Lots of funky sour grapefruit, grape skins and leather with oak. Smells awesome.
T - Taste starts really nice. Lots of fruit, funk and sour bite. Around the middle, brett funk and shoe polish hit with a finish that is steel wool, copper penny, moldy fruit and rotten vegetables.
M - Still, metallic and sweet. Lots of residual sugars
O - This is just not very good. Starts great, smells great but the finish is horrible. Bottled Still which I don’t really believe too much as in it just didn’t carbonate? Probably won’t finish my glass.
