Aestatis is a Season type beer brewed in Belgium by De Struise. The beer takes its name from the Latin Aestas, meaning summer, and it couldn’t be a better fit.

The beer pours a rich, cloudy gold, crowned by a light white head.

The nose is a pleasant mix of sweet honey and caramel notes with fruity hops, and apricot, date and grassy scents.

On the tongue there are agreeable malt, caramel, grass and yeast notes with a light, floral side. The finish is crisp and bitter.

Old rating - A 330ml bottle collected from the brewery 5 years ago, it pours a deep brown with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of sweet honey, liquorice, hints of plum/fig. Super smooth malty body, with a slight yeast-y sourness to it. Nice and carbonated. Aftertaste sour with bitterness in the background. Excellent

P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish. O- 2015 vintage drank at 5 years of age. Lots of peppery spice and caramel. Good but pretty one dimensional. Age probably played a factor.
