ABV: 5.0%. Clear medium to dark brown red colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy apple, sweet apple, apple pie, sugary, caramelized apple, stewed fruit - honey. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet with a long duration, apple, sweet apples, sugary, caramelized apple, stewed fruit, tannins, dry, honey - caramelized fruit - apple, rich, light oxidide. Body is medium, texture is syrupy - watery, carbonation is flat. [20190926]

Bottle at the pre-Borefts tasting 2019, Zaandam. Poured a clear medium brown colour with a bubbly round white head. The aroma is big sweet apple and alcohol. The flavour is strong sweet, with a super smooth, sugary, rich, oily, big crushed apple, warm alcohol bitter palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle, 2009, danke Stefan. Murky brown. Bright bitter appleskin almond cake aroma. Fullbodied, tart, dry, apple and pear, fermenting fruit, dark sugar, vanilla, dry applecake, light copper, tart fermented green apple finish. Very nice dry drink.

2009 bottle. Darkest amber color. Aroma is cooked apples, red apples, honey. Taste is red apples, honey, cooked caramel, tannic. Very tannic mouthfeel, flat. Interesting, and very heavy for this ABV, really something else.

Sampled at pre-Borefts tasting. Very dark brown, no head. Sweet oxidized apple, sour apple, earthy, sweet and sour pear, dark sugar, blackberries. Medium sour and sweet. Over medium bodied. You really get the age, and it’s also quite sour. Quite OK overall.

Bottle shared at Pre- Borefts ‘19. Brown with a small tan head. Aroma of sweet red apple, tart green apple and woody notes. Flavour is above moderate sweet and sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
