Pours a full glass of foam withing the first 3 cl. This head is HUGE. Medium stability, so it takes a while before you can actually add beer to this foamy fill. Smell is sharp, grainy, bit earthy hops. Taste is sharp, bitter, grainy ( bread, bisquits ) bit earthy hops. Fairly dry, highly carbonated ( even after having lost so much co2 in the headspace ? ) making me think this one wasn't fully done fermenting upon release … I've had this one before, and relatively liked it back than, but what I have in my gless now - as a person that doesnt even like the belgian average ( which is far tor high to me ) level of carbonation, this beer is just a bad joke. Taste wise, it's still pretty good, but the overcarbonation and foamyness of this one, by now, is straight up rediculous. As foam still grows when beer is added underneath, your trials to actually reach the beer will present the outcome of a face full of foam…

Low alcohol IPA by Verzet, an interesting new experiment, thanks Leopold for getting me a few bottles. Very thick, bath foam-like, off-white, cobweb-lacing head on an initially lightly hazy, pale straw blonde beer with khaki tinge, misty with sediment. Aroma of ripe pear, yellow kiwi, jute bags, straw bales, old bread crust, touch of guava somewhere, brown soap, green banana, raw potato peel, dried garden herbs. Crisp, fruity onset, very restrained in sweetness and remaining rather neutral, but still with hints of unripe melon, green banana and some green apple, sharpish carb fit for the style with refreshing minerally effects, supple pale maltiness, tad grainy perhaps, but bready as well and in that sense feeling fuller than its 1.5% ABV. Long, leafy, wormwoody hop bitter finish, spicy and a bit quinine-like in the end, with a lingering bready yeast note for good measure, tempering this hop bitterness. It is that yeast softness that was lacking in e.g. BrewDog's Nanny State, a beer of very comparable concept, and it being present here adds a welcoming fullness and softness to what would otherwise be a bit harshly hop bitter and 'empty'. In that sense this is really very well done, it does not feel like only 1.5% ABV at all and has a crisp, dry, minerally and refreshingly bitter character that will certainly quench the thirst on a hot day. I heartily recommend this far above any other low alcohol beer on the Belgian market today.

28 April 2019. At Zythos Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke, 77ships & tderoeck! Hazy pale yellow, slowly thinning, frothy, white head. Aroma of green banana, wheat, soap, lime juice, yellow apple, unripe pear, white bread. Taste is light fruity sweet, notes of apple & pear & faint estery banana, sourish wheat & lemon rendering it a bit soapy, touch of white bready maltiness & minor spicy notes (clove, coriander perhaps). Dryish, grassy hoppy finish, more wheat & soapiness. Medium body, slick-soapy texture, lively carbonation. Too many bubbles here, imbalanced wheatiness for me, but not bad at that ABV.

Bottle from Geers. Hazy yellow colour, creamy white foam. Dry, bitter and grassy, citrussy. Lots of carbonation. Easy drinkable. Nice for this ABV.

Bottle sample @ BIRA BIRA beer festival #1.

Extremely pale blond colour with no head. Aroma and flavour have obvious hop bitterness. No body whatsoever. It's like a hopped mineral water. Still good as an alcohol 'free' beer though.
