A somewhat amber coloured strong blond from Huisbrouwerij Den Tseut, in Oosteeklo. This is the village of Yvan Heylen, a local singer who had a famous, nation-wide hit with 'De Werkmens' in 1973. This beer is brewed 45 years after this hit, during the festivities of 'Het Dorp van Ivan' ('The village of Ivan').

29 June 2024. Thanks to Maarten for sharing the bottle, cheers to Domien’s stag do and the whole gang!
A: hazy dark orange, stable, foamy, off-white head.
A: white pepper, old bread, pale malt, honey, apple slice.
T: sweetish pale malt & yellow apple, bread, bit spicy.
F: soft floral hops, bitter grain, yeast, old bread.
P: medium body, slick texture, average carbonation.
Okay, but was probably past its best. Didn't check given the circumstances.

22/11/2018 - 33cl bottle from a trade with jerre. Clear amber colour, nice off-white head. Nose is chocolate and caramel malts, banana. Taste starts sugary, caramel, hint of chocolate, ripe fruits, bit oily, Nicely drinking. Nothing special but easy drinking and enjoyable. You could say easy going with some special features just like the man it should honour.
