small cough syrup bottle with plastic cap. perhaps 20cl 8.5% alc acc. to label. bottle was leaking, also a gusher when opened, the leak has washed most of the label away, i had a hard time identifying the bottle even in the bottle shop. (couldn’t find a brewed by note or a beer name). pitch dark, smooth brown head. 3 aroma is roasted malts, coffee, lots of roasted malts. faint salt and licorice 8 flavor is herbal and roasted malty, lots of malts, notes of coffee, complex, but the herbal touch distracts. perhaps the herbal note is from some funk from a barrel aging, some of the other flavors could easily come from wood. if this is a barrelled imp stout it is in fact very good indeed, so i’ll rate accordingly. 8 pal 4 ov 16

200 mml bottle tasted on the 26/06/2015. Nice bottle and nice black colour with a decent beige head. Aroma of coffee and roasted malts. Very intense and dry flavour. Aftertaste is dry and bitter. Next one please!
