Bottle from het Biermoment, BB 17/08/2018, 33 cl sample. Dark brown color, medium frothy head. Aroma of lots of grinded spicy coffee, slight cookie and caramel, and a bit of roast and dark bread. Roasty bitterness in taste, some spicy coffee, bit lactose sweetness. And ofcourse, high carbonation. Might be caused by Anders, so time for Natte Gijt to brew their stuff in the Weerter Stadsbrouwerij. Like other brews, it has potential, but carbonation is killing it. And the copious amounts of coffee. Lacks balance.

Tap at Stadsbrouwerij Leiden. Black with light tan head. Sweet roasted choco malts, chocolate and coffee notes. Medium sweet and light bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation. Alright sweet roasty choco coffee brew.

Bottle 0.33l at home, Riihimäki. Thanks to MonsterMagnet! Colour is almost black with small brownish head. Aromas and flavours: Cocoa, coffee, chocolate, some tartness, dryness and roasted malts. Very dry and mayby too aged because of small tartness in flavour. Still quite drinkable.

7/9/21: BB 07/09/2018. An experiment to see what years do to this. Black, plenty of stable light brown head. Smells coffee, bit of sweetness. Body is thin-ish, bit watery, but creamy. Bit overcarbed. Taste is moccha, ending on a soft bitter. Surprisingly decent! Too watery and overcarbed to finish, but no noticable off flavours. This survived quite well!

0.33 l bottle at ’De Zaak Onder de Linden’ (Sittard). Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, light brown head. Sweetish, rather roasty aroma of lots of coffee, dark chocolate, hazelnut and a touch of vanilla. Sweetish-malty, moderately roasty taste of lots of coffee, milk chocolate, hazelnut, some vanilla and a touch of dark fruits, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter and slightly metallic finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!

Tap at Oproer. Black with brown head. Lots of roasted malts, coffee beans, light dried fruits, some fresh berries. Medium bitter, light sweet and very light sour. Medium bodied. Good beer, but I don’t get much almonds or ’milk’

Tasting glass draft @ Billie’s Bier Kafetaria. Vegan milk stout, nothing hipster about that, this is awesome! Black, brief big unstable mocha bubbles that quickly disappear. Nose is ashy roasted mocha, low pleasant almond milk if you look for it. Taste is basic bit too grainy mocha ashes with chocolate, touch too grainy but still pretty pleasant, roast, low sugar, some sweetness, grainy chocolate, pleasant almond milk briefly in the finish if you look for it, low berries. Low almond milk finish. Nice brew not try it with some agave or maybe Alpro Soya Banana milk (oh boy!). Almond milk is not very sweet plain, could have used maybe a bit more sweetness but it’s a pretty pleasant beer as it is now. Nice.

Bottle shared by Joes. Opaque dark brown to black color, medium to full sized light brown head. Aroma is full on heavy coffee. Taste malts, coffee, ash, nice bitter finish. Quite nice, I like it.

Bottle @ home. Quite roasty, coffee and some chocolate, but it’s all hidden underneath a metallic layer which ruins it a bit. Nice carbo and body.
