04/05/2018 @home - 33cl bottle from a trade with jerre. Hazy yellow, with creamy white head. Nose is malts, spices, hint of honey. Taste is malts, pretty fresh hops, honey. Taste is way better than I remembered from a previous tasting and than you would think of the aroma. not a lot of sweetness, even nice bitter hop aspects. Wonder if they ever changed the recipe.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at One Pint Pub, 20130814) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized, white and it disappeared quickly. Aroma had honey, fruitiness and Belgian style yeast. Palate was medium bodied and sticky with medium carbonation. Flavours were honey, fruitiness, grass, Belgian style yeast and bitterness. Afteraste had honey and bitterness. I am not a fan of honey beers and this one did not make an exception. Had the beer had less honey it would have been better.

Bottled@HBF2013. Slightly hazy yellowish golden colour, with a mediumsized white head, which quickly turns into a quite small one. Aroma is honey, some slight nectar and biscuits. Flavour is honey, biscuits, some fruits and mild alcohol sweetness as well. Quite fullbodied palate, but actually almost a bit too sweet.

Bit cloudy, light yellow to pale blond beer, big aery white head, pretty stable, adhesive. Aroma: some citrus, lots of sugary honey, hint of cleaning product. MF: ok carbon, light to medium body. Taste: it's honey all right! A bit sweet, citrus, soapy, little bitter, honey. Aftertaste: honey again, some citrus, soapy, bitter yet unpleasant ending.

Bottle sample @19de Internationale BierHappening, Zottegem. The name does not lie, it really is ’van bie tot bier’ feels like drinking liquid honeycomb.

Fully hazed yellow-orangeish beer with a small white rim. Honey, honingbollen, sweetish-flowery aroma. Honey again, typical without the sweetness, leaving the non-fermentables from the honey to make up the taste. Medium bodied at best, medium slick, longe-ish aftertaste. Exemplary for the idea, but not really exciting. ZIM? Shouldn’t that be ZEEM...?
