It is an extremely hopped beer, with a light copper colour and an important alcohol content. Inspired by the Californian Double IPA, dextrose is added to the malts to make the beer particularly dry and to bring out the intense aromatic notes of the American hops used (Simcoe, Citra, Amarillo).

carico/ramato velato, al naso intenso ananas poi caramello agrumi frutta tropicale resina, in bocca malto caramello ananas uva pompelmo resina, corpo rotondo, alcool presente ma ben bilanciato, carbonazione moderata, molto dolce che equilibra l’amaro rilevante, astringente. Bottiglia. Sentori di luppolo e di ananas vanno a dare soddisfazione al naso. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera gratificante e ricca e l'esistenza olfattiva è pregevole. Il cappello di schiuma resiste abbastanza. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana media. La parte liquida appare opalescente. Il colore è giallo dorato brillante. Il corpo è strutturato non pesante. L'amaro è deciso. La forza gustativa è elevata. La continuità gustativa è buona e lunga. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano luppolate e di birra beverina. Il finale è amaro. Il retrogusto è intenso e persistente. In bocca l'aroma è quello di miele, frutta secca, luppolo, pino, agrumi, pompelmo e ananas.

Pretty much a clear beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, a light and semi dry creamy sweetness. Light cooling pine. Underneath is light but slightly aggressive spicy bitter hops. Modest citric peel. Crisp finish. Serviceable.

on tap oro carico quasi limpoda buona schiuma media persistenza piacevole agrumato iniziale poi resisnoso inizio piuttosto maltato poi arriva amaro un po di radice leggere riscaldante buona secchezza

Draft @ ML Fontainas Italian beer wknd. Dorée-orange, col épais blanc. Arôme est houblonné laissant de fines effluves huileuses, assez proche des classiques de la côté ouest - impression d'orange confite et autres agrumes. Palais est assez doux, sucré résiduel accentue l'effet de collant aux lèvres sur la fin. Huileux, sève voire note de pin agrémenté de pointes fruitées pêche-abricot, résineux et un côté alcool qui se ressent bien.

I Draught /I Huge dense white head, slightly cold hazed golden beer; rings of lace. Lactic, diary, dry hops, hopbales. Warming up, aftershave (no, not mine). Very bitter indeed, bit indifferent. Again dry hopbales; bitter green vegetables. Medium bodied, slick, hopoils. Grew on me in the end. Very bitter, but still OK.
