De Hommeles Ondeugd is ready for take-off! In februari is dit eenmalige bier exclusief verkrijgbaar in de café’s aangesloten bij de Alliantie van Biertapperijen als flessenbier-van-de-maand. Vanaf 1 maart is dit rookbier van 6% ook verkrijgbaar bij een beperkt aantal slijterijen en in de horeca. Het bier is heerlijk, net als het leven: "Turf te leven!". Het bier is speciaal gebrouwen ter gelegenheid van de 50e verjaardag van Jan Ausems (op 2 februari 2015), één van de drie brouwers van Brouwerij Hommeles. Er zijn slechts 15 fusten afgevuld.

Sampled @ Gents Bierfestival 2015 Trübes orangegelbes Bier mit einer geringen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch rauchig, etwas Torf, Schinken. Geschmack rauchig malzig, mild, Schinken.

Bottle shared from ABC Beers. Pours clear amber with an off white head. Aroma of smoked malt, caramel, toffee, brown sugar and light vegetal notes. Flavor is over moderate sweet with a touch of bitterness. Light medium bodied with light carbonation.

Tap @ UBF ’15. Deep amber color, slightly hazy. Off white head. Aroma’s: smoky, tar, light malty sweet, some (red) fruit). Retronasal: smoked, but mild, light sweet. Flavor: moderate sweet with a light fruity sourness. Light bodied, but not thin. Finishes with smoked fish (or ham), ever so slightly bitter. Pretty nice, and rather German.

van de tap op @UBF15, helder oranje/koper met witte/gelige kraag. aroma van gerookte mouten, wat weeïge mouten. Smaken zijn zwak zoet, zwak bitter en stevige rookmouten, verder net zoals het aroma wat weeïg, smaakt op zich best ok.

Draught @ UBF 2015. Clear a bit rusty orange color, average sized off-white head. Aroma has too much smoke for me. Taste also has firm smoke flavors but a little less strong. Nevertheless it’s too much for me. Not bad at all I think, but not my thing.

Taste: sweet malty start, bit sourish, very peated, smoky, little bitter. Aftertaste: peated, smoky, caramel, banana, banana peel.

33 cl. bottle @ Tapperij de Zwijger, Houten. Amber colour with an off-white head. Smokey aroma with lots of malts. Taste is smokey as well, mouthfeel is buttery, fatty. Lively carbonation. Not a bad beer at all but one is enough for an evening.

Bottle @ Cafe Briljant, large sample. Almost clear amber color, short frothy head. Aroma of german smoked malt, bacon, grainy malt. Crisp and dry in taste, bit sweet as well, soft smokey touch. Getting close to a classic german smoked beer, I liked this one quite a lot!
