Shared bottle at Mi2 at Cardinal 23.05.16. Ebony. Dark brown head. Fine roasted aroma of cocoa and coconut - just as the label says. Taste of coconut, vanilla, cherries and coffee. Some cherry and marzipan in aftertaste. Surprisingly drinkable.

Bomber courtesy of Henrik E (non-RB). Pours black with a frothy mocha head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty and tiny nutty with roasted malts, dark bread, coffee, chocolate, toasted coconut and moist soil. Taste is sweet, bitter, malty and metallic. Mouthfeel is round, astringent, tiny boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with roasted malts, caramel, dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, moist soil and hints of coconut and metal. Metallic and very light on the nuts. Expected something much better than this.

Sample at the "Jackie O’s Staff Bottle Tasting Part 2" on 12/18/2015. Brownish-black pour with a medium thick foamy khaki head that diminishes steadily. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, coffee and coconut. Medium body with flavors of chocolate malt, toasted coconut and coffee. The finish is malty with a coconut aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Bottle with thanks to 50belair! Pours opaque black, very huge creamy brown head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is roasty, hints of coconut, ashtray, coffee. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, cocoa, coffee, dark roasted malts. Coconut initially not present but comes on strongly as the beer has time to warm. Lactic sugars give a bit of a caramel note. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. Tasty.
