Bomber, traded with neighbors. A coconut smell immediately under the cap, stays mild as a light chocolate roast malt warms around the nose. Deep black color with a thin, fizzy brown head. Taste is a nice sweet stout, with coconut just forming an edge around the taste. Does turn a bit over-roasty, which earned a slight ding on taste, even though the nice malt sweetness made up for it. Bits of vanilla work around it. I never liked coconut much, but it’s quite subtle and agreeably sets the entire package apart. Alcohol is light. Flavors are at their peak for a beer I got in trade in January, and I think it should not be held much more than a year.

Bottle shared@Mikkeller Bar, CPH - black pour with thin beige head. Roasted malty aroma and taste, prominent chocolate and well judged balance of coconut, some caramel and vanilla notes. Gorgeous.

Bottle thanks to Rainer. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is cocoa nibs, chocolate. Thin mouthfeel with nice roast, chocolate, not much coconut, bitter finish.

Draft. Toasted coconut and milk chocolate malt aroma. Black with small head. Sweet coconut, chocolate malt, and moderately bitter herbal/quinine flavor. Very nice.
