Gushing to huge, dense, amberish-tinted head over hazy orange-amber, overcarbonated beer, leaving shards of lace. Sticky-malty nose, bit like stale beer. Caramel and mild green herbs. Again a, partly oxydized, rather stale tasting beer. Human sweat, bitter(ish) caramel, faintly sulphury, orangezeste. Faintly burning MF, slick, medium bodied, gassy. Not very enjoyable. Why does it seem so difficult to conceive a decent amber ale? It’s as if vintners, compelled to make a rosé, would combine the worst features of their red and their white....

Bottled. A red beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, malt, over ripe fruits, and a bit of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of moldy hay, mineral, yeast, and malt, leading to a dry finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear amber with a lacing off-white head. Sweet malty nose. Medium body, fruity with a little metallic edge, has a fusty earthy edge and a fairly dry and sulphurous finish. 230212

bouteille 33cl.
