A deep dark IPA with a thick creamy brown head. In aroma, sweet chocolate with floral piney hops, nice. In mouth, a nice bitter chocolate with good coffee notes, floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice. On tap at brewery.

Poured up on tap at SanTan with mahogany body and tight tan head and nitro pour enhanced sheet lacing. The aroma offers up roasted malts, earthy malts, sweet floral hops, spicy hops and some pine hoppiness. For the taste the nitro pour gently sends in a decent level of mostly spicy to floral hops to earthy and then to a modest roasted malt backbone. Midway and into the finish the hops get resiny and take on a pine sap sensation along with an earthy malt note followed by a mild drying roasted malts astringency.

Draught. Arbitrary score 4/5 for Appearance, as nighttime conditions prevented correct assessment. Enormous head hampering the nose. Get USA hops and a tad of chocolate. Sweet liquorice-roasted to burnt flavour. Bit of tobacco. Hoppiness limits itself to mildering the sweetness, little real fruity C-hops. Quite slick, feels better bodied than i probably is, nitrogen lending it a very creamy texture. More than passable, but there’s better BIPA’s around.
