From tap at Noordelijk Kerst- en Winterbierenfestival 2016. Aroma is plenty of roast, coffee, strong wood and barrel notes, whiskey. Flavour is moderate sweet and surprisingly bitter. Body is medium. Very nice, has complexity.

On tap at Winterbierfestival Wormer. TFS today’s beers PotjeBier! Served as Houtwormpje, at 5.6%. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of lots of sweet peated whisky, other Scotch, roasted malts, earth. Flavour is medium sweet, roasted malts, earth, peat, whisky, some wood, bitter finish with some whisky fudge. Light bodied. Very tasty.

Tap @ Wormer Winterbierfest with Borresteijn. Dark color. Light beige head. Aroma’s of whisky, peat, light acetone. Retronasal there’s roast, whisky, peat. Flavor is roasted, fruity, light bitter. Light bodied. rather thin actually. Finishes roasted, rather bitter. I find it hard to get used to low alcoholic barrel aged beers (other than lambic or oud bruin)

Draft at the Rootz Winterbeer Festival ’16. Black with a bubbly beige head. Aroma of huge scotch barrel, medicinal alcohol, and wood overpowering notes of roast and dark chocolate. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. A bit light watery bodied with soft carbonation.
