Bottle from a French supermarket - many thanks, Anke! Clear golden with a stable, thin, frothy, white head. Aroma of apple peel, unrip epear, pale malt, breadcrust, straw, honey. Taste has plain maltiness, apple & pear & some honey with a spicy accent. Yeasty finish, some grassy hops & unripe fruit. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. 'Plain' Ale.

Bottle from G20 supermarket in Paris
Hazy amber color; small frothy head. Mild aroma, lightly metallic, some dirty water, some cork. Quite simple caramel flavor, with light residual sugars; ordinary bitterness. Easy.

A hazed amber ale with a thick lacing off white head. In aroma, pleasant barley sugar aroma, a bit maderized but still nice. In mouth, a smooth sweetish caramel malt with notes of honey and herbs, oily mouthfeel, not bad. 750 ml bottle at a nice restaurant on St-Sulpice Street in Paris (6e), 15 euros.

Medium, very dense white head; very carbonated golden-copper beer. Toasted, grassy, greenmalts aroma’s; reeks unfermented, crude. Toasted, greenmalt, unfermented worts, "hopped" with freshly cut grass. Ouch. Light body, burning MF. Ever heard about lagering vessels? They transform worts to beer, given time...
