Gebrouwen i.o.v. De Heikantse Bierliefhebbers.

33 cl bottle shared by jcwattsrugger. Cloudy gold with very little head retention. Nose is malted wheat with caramel. Flavor is really odd. Sour wheat, pale malts with a caramel hint. Medium in body with a lightly dry texture. No hops anywhere in this brew. We had a debate about what year this was brewed in. We couldn’t understand the writing on the label. I’m not an expert of off flavors or oxidized ingredients but… this tasted old. That being said, it was still drinkable.

Bottle. Gusher. Pours dirt brown with white head. Nose and taste of banana, smoked wheat malt, baked bread, cotton candy, grainy malt and smoked banana peel. Touch of bandaid in the finish. Lighter medium body.

Very thick-set, cream-coloured head, leaving lace, irregular; hazy orange-ochre beer. Wet dog, grass, pale malts dominating the nose. Human sweat, old cheese, old oxydized hops. Very lightly sweet pale malts limp along, but they cannot save this beer. Light in texture, but not in alcohol; slick. Disappointing, wondering whence the oxydation - as the beer itself is not old.
