* Old rating, 0,33l crown-top bottle, best before 05.07.07. Mild-weiches Weizen, recht Herb dafür. Nicht zu fruchtig, leicht säuerlich, interessant.

Small whitish head on slightly head on slightly hazy orange beer. Unpleasant nose of pilsner malt, torrified malt, toast, and diluted pineapple juice from a can. Anything but a classical wheat nose - if it were good, I’d call it "original". Fairly soured mash taste. Wheat, if you want, poor grains for sure. What is this b*llsh*t? Bready, again German sourbread, like some halfhearted homebrew. Medium body; aftertaste has alarming notes of mould. FAUGH!! This is the first time I’m glad Christianity conquered the Asen. Imagine having to drink this for eternity!

(Bottle 33 cl) Hazy amber golden with yeast impurities and a small, bubbly, dissipating head. A light aroma of yeast and caramel. Medium body with lightly sweet malt and - surprise, surprise - notes of smoke. That could’ve been expected had this come from Bamberg, but NOT when it’s from Schleswig. Not a baconish, fat smokiness more like a licght beech smoke. Interesting. 170606

Bottle. Quite cloudy copper colour. Unstable white head. Pretty standard wheat flavour, but with a smoked and sour foreground. Not necessarily unpleasant, but it seems totally out of style.

Bottled. Cloudy golden, brief head. Restrained banana aroma. Medium sweet and very soft with notes of toffee. Showes traces of oxidation, but it’s still good.

An unclear orange beer with a beutiful beige head. The aroma is very wheaty with notes of lemon and banana. The flavor is rather smoked with notes of wheat, lemon, banana, and wood. The mouthfeel is very smooth. A suprisingly good beer.
