On tap at Trumpeter Public House, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small beige head. Aroma is very hoppy, with loads of dry piney hops. Flavour coats the palate with all things hops, including resinous and piney hops galore, along with a solid caramel malt backbone. Excellent balance, with a slightly skunky herbal quality on the finish. Very nice IPA.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours a hazy amber/copper with a good frothy beige head. Nice hoppy aroma. Floral and citrus. Medium body with moderate carbonation. The malt backbone is strong, like a touch of caramel candy, but there’s enough bitter to balance. A very tasty drink. Just keeps on getting better.

On tap at Red Lion Seattle Pours out a amber/copper topped with a white head. Aroma was a nice citrus hop and a rich malt. Tast was bitter citrus grapefruit peel and a thick malt. A pretty tuff IPA.

Draught pint at Redbones on 11/15/06
Peachy-marigold tinged blonde beer, with some stronger amber and copper tints through the middle. Medium to medium-high clarity, obviously low filtration. White head is one-finger high, showing moderate retention, light lacing.
Heavily aspirinated aroma is sour and backed by heavily bitter hops. White grapefruit, lemon peel, sourdough bread, sweat and crushed aspirin make short work of the light honeyish malts. Not a very strong aroma, with the yeast adding a bland note. All citrus, light resin, not too encouraging...
Heavily sour/bitter twang in the mouth, with alpha acids running rampant, an aspirin and dough flavor of unmitigated yeast. Almost no malt backing and very little attempt at flavor hops. Absolutely unbalanced, fatiguing and crass. Perhaps some toasted malt notes, but no doubt they are just another aspect of the dryness and sour flavors. Would not have guessed amarillo, those don’t seem well-done here at all. Moderate carbonation, slightly aggressive at times. Yikes.

Draught Hazy orange-amber; small white head. Slightly sweet, cakey, with a hoppy (!) overtone all the same. Good balance with sweet, heavy malts, and a good USA hops dose, dry, resiny, to the point that retronasal, I seem to get pure spruce. Well balanced, smooth, nearly heavy MF. Very good balance, rare in WC overhopped IPA’s.
