Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours dark brown with a medium thin beige head that diminishes slowly to a film. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Light to medium body with a sweet roasty character and notes of chocolate malt, caramel and mild coffee. The finish is sweet and malty with a lightly bitter coffee aftertaste. Decent overall.

On tap at Big Time, Seattle. Very deep ruby colour, tan head. Coffee porter, nice malts up front, then lots of sherberty hop on end. Nice charcoal aroma and in mouth but not sure the hoppy finish works.

Draught Nearly no head; fully black beer. Lemon overtones on more classical porter notes, coffee & chocolate. Sweet chocolate, black & coloured malts, aromaβs of blackberries and dark German bread. Medium bodied, slightly empty finish. Quite OK. Lemon might be due to the glass (non-)washing.

Somewhat sweet and has hints of roastiness. Though I found this a little thin. It was my least fav at the pub.
