Thanks to whoever sent this (I think it might have been Dak back in 2010) Cellared Clear gold with no head. Petilent, big pop when the cork came out however. Vinous acetic aroma of being at the old Apple house in the fall and smelling apples fresh and souring. The flavor is tart and fruity, balanced the way I like a sour beer to be. Long lingering dry tartness in the finish.

Big thanks to Adam! Pours a hazy deep amber with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a strong oakiness with some very dry and sour grapes with a bit of funk backing. Flavor has much more earthiness and barrel with dry red grapes that have a nice dryness.

Bottle for my 5,000th rating. Thanks to Irishboy. Shared at 5K/10K/4K tasting. Pours orange amber. Nose and taste of yeast, citrus, cheese, musky fruit and light acid. Medium body. Nice beer.

Rating number 4,000. Bottle of batch 001 thanks to bu11zeye! Pours with a murky orange-brown body with a small, but vibrant white head. Aroma of some bready oxidation, fruits, horseblanket, lychee, maderized wine, toffee, white wine, oak, lacto. Aroma reminds me a bit of a less boozy version of SNR2000. Very complex to say the least. Flavor is floral, delicate, slightly oxidized, lightly sour, lacto and pedio, cobwebs, melon, grapes, white wine, rum soaked cake. The duration is very long and keeps getting better and better. Very well balanced and really tart more than sour. The grape character is faded and is more floral than fruit. Tingly carbonation and dry. Very interesting and very good, but probably doesn’t have too many years (probably months) left in it. A great beer to mark the journey to 4,000 rates.

10th May 2008. Starts like a Geuze but finishes like cider with a champagne crispness and dryness. An entirely seperate silky smooth vanilla oak rides alongside these flavours. Unusual.

@Pauls Girardin chugging-courtesy of eclectic-12.7oz bottle–pours a white ring for a head and hazy yellow color. Aroma is tart light fruit, wood/spice, yeast. Taste is tart light fruit-apricot/lemon, wood/spice, yeast. Interesting.

Dark beige. Footy, tart nose. Tart body with hints of cherry, funk. Very vinous. Refinded character. Crazy stuff. Wish I could digest it all.

Hazy amber with tiny white short lasting head. Sour aroma with brett and fruity notes. Sweet and sour flavor with barnyard, yeasty and grapefruit notes. Ends sour. Very refreshing.

37.5 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with no head. Dry brett aroma, barnyard and light wooden too. Flavour is mild lacto bacteria with a light brett note giving a mild dry and citric flavour. Dry brett finish.

Thanks to boboski for opening this brew. Pours a hazy lemon – orange with white head. The aroma is tart, hints of wood, like being in the woods with a dewy mustiness, tart cherries and grapes. There’s a sweet fruity flavor of red wine grapes, cantaloupe and oxidized pears. The taste then becomes increasingly tart with grapes, tart raspberries and tart apples. The flavor then moves into a slight sour tart mustiness. It ends even, tart and with yeasty musk. I sure enjoyed it.
