Dark amber, unfiltered and strongly carbonated. Hops flavor up front, creamy medium body. Mildly bitter hops finish. Inoffensive yet lacking any memorable character.

Draft pour at Frankies pizza. Pours a reddish orange color with a somewhat absent aroma. Flavor is a little nutty, with a malt forward taste. Slightly dusty finish. Not bad. Not great. Can’t complain on this one.

Deep copper and amber coloured body with a hint of ruby-tinted brown as well, all with a thinnish, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, toasted malt, alcohol and a bit of nuts. Medium-bodied; Rich flavour of toasted malt, alcohol, grain, rye, nuts and heaps of caramelised sugars - very nice and pungent. Aftertaste shows a big malt character with hints of nuts and rye and some subtle sweetness to finish it off. Overall, a nice beer for the style with a little sweetness at the end - very rich as well. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 30-March-2014 for US$3,99 sampled at home in Washington on 19-August-2014.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Dark amber color, clean, with compact head. Caramel aroma, with a mild but interesting fruity side. Soft mouthfeel; strong caramel base, with nutty accent, moderate residual sweetness, light fruity touch; quite strong nutty bitterness too, and some hop resins in the final.
A well brewed beer, clean.

On tap. Pours a dark mahogany/red with light head. Vegetable hop aromas. Flavors of resin and sharp acidic malts. Not a fan.

Bomber from Total Wine West Richmond, VA. Pours a clear amber color with a medium sized off-white head. Good head retention. Nutty and toffeeish aroma with herbal hops. The taste is toffee, berries, earthy notes and a bitter hop finish. Medium bodied. Decent.

Yes, quite cheap for a bomber, $4 at total beer & wine in florida. Pour is not really red, just kinda brown and hazy, looks like cream soda. Nice creamy head. Smell is quite malty. From the first taste I was pleasantly surprized; could this really be over 6%? Hides the alky well. Has a slightly wild attitude about it with a mildly tart appeal. Some bitterness begins to build but it never seems to be too much for this lager lover. Yes, a fairly good overall taste that you can get to like. That wild tart thing really makes this brew happen. Pretty good sizzle. Did not expect this to taste like it does, not bad! finish does have this medium bitter thing in there but again the whole beer experience overcomes this one bad attribute. Interesting lacing on the glass thru-out the session. Goes down reallhy easy, yes very interesting indeed. If you like mildly tart beers that come across a little wild, give this a try. Looking forward to trying other beers from these guys.
