Draft at the brewery. Orange pour with a sweet, malty aroma. Citrus fruit flavor with an overwhelming amount of malt. Very hop heavy finish as well. A little boozy. Tastes strong. Overall, pretty good.

6.5% on tap at CBB, 700 yen for a half pint. A clear light copper color with a bitter hoppy taste, very clean. A nicely balanced malty backbone perfectly matched with a lemony hop flavor. Very nice.

Draught at the brewpub
Hazy amber color, with medium sized creamy head. Nice aroma, caramel and hop fruitiness, light sweat. The body is quite good; strong flavor of caramel, some malt, good hops, with provide mild resins in the front, and light fruitiness later; strong but not excessive bitterness.
Solid, good, a bit sturdy.

Draft - Grapefruit and perfumy aromatics with sweet caramel. Clear amber with a rich long lasting but small head. A sweetish IPA with the bubble gum characteristics and a nice bitterness. Finish has some resin and chalk with some more bitterness to boot. A nice imperial, if the finish were a little smoother it would have been great.

On tap at Boundary Bay Brewpub, pours hazy golden orange. Very fruity on the nose, with peach and mango, and of course a barrage of hops. Flavour of intense, slightly bitter hops, and strong peach, mango and grapefruit. Really well-balanced - extremely delicious.

On tap at the BP. Served in a tulip glass. Nice rich deep copper color wiht nary a film of a head. Full malty aroma of toasted malts, caramel, and sweet citrusy hops. More like a BW. Flavor was full and rich. Lots of maltiness and balanced well. Not very bitter. The ABV was apparent but complimented well. A nice strong IIPA

Impossible to get a head on (tried myself, this time (!)), orange-foxy ale. Grapey, rich hops nose, good USA hops. Sweet-bitter orange marmalade and hints of alcohol. Taste is again typical orange marmalade. It’s discreet for an ’Imperial’, but that helps actually its delicacy. Medium to well-bodied impression; slick, alcohol in the aftertaste. Serious attempt at delicacy rather than at overwhelming bigness. Bravo - I’ve had plenty of different...
