Bottle from Biernavigatie, large sample. Dark color, medium rocky brown head. Aroma of big coffee, roast and licorice. Coffee spicyness in taste, roasty bitterness, some licorice and dark chocolate. Coffee is wonderfully balanced with the beer. Great stuff. --- Beer merged from original tick of Jolly Rodger (2015) on 23 Aug 2017 at 19:25 - Score: 8

Bottle @ Van Moll Brewpub shared with Erwin Van Moll and Stefan. Opaque pitch black color, full sized quite creamy light brown head that lasts for a long time. Aroma is malts, coffee, dark malts, dark chocolate. Oh my, absolutely lovely. Taste malts, dark malts, heavy coffee and dark chocolate, mocha, chocolate bitter finish. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. This is just what I like. No, what I love. Absolutely delicious!

If I stuck a shit load of coffee grounds into a blender for an hour and topped it with dark chocolate it would taste terrible, but not this
