nice fruity nose, and sweet. the malt runs though, and it there, and compliments the sweetness. tiny bit of a bitterness in the finish, an overall nice beer.

bouteille. Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a dark brown color with a one finger white foamy head that gently dissipated to leave a light somewhat foamy lacing roaming along the glass in a slight trickling sort of fashion.
The smell started off with a rich nuttiness eventually allowing a light vanilla and then an intruding chocolate with a decent booziness.
The taste took all of those flavors and combined wonderfully.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a decent sessionability to it. The carbonation finishes slightly harsh and its got a deal boozy vanilla aftertaste.
Overall, this was a pretty good offering that I would have again.

Bottle from the Beer Store. Pours a dark reddish brown with slight beige head. Aroma is of chocolate and caramel and some plum as well as a bit of nuttiness. Medium sweetness with enough bitter hops to balance the finish. Medium slick with an unobtrusive level of carbonation.

Originally rated December 2004. This is the last brew to review from Wellington’s fine brewery. Poured a deep brown-orange colour with red highlights and a nice tanned creamy head. Beautiful lacing was left behind. The aroma seemed very sour with a mix of chocolat. The taste was very well balanced between the sweet chocolat-toffee and the bitterness. Lots of fruits were found in the mouth. Pretty darn good !

Courtesy of Degarth. Pours dark brown with thin off white head. The aroma is a load of the darkest of dark fruitiness with dates, prunes, and raisins along with a hint of roastiness. The flavors are well blended with notes of roasty malts, light amounts of caramel and toffee as well as prunes, dates, raisins and a mild sense of the ABV. It stays pretty even and unchanging into the finish.
