Hazy brown reddish ale with a thick off white head. A sweet malt aroma with strong coriander notes, light pineapple notes. In mouth signs of autolysis and phenol. A sweet malt with strong coriander added. Relatively young bottle (less than 3 mo.). Medium bodied. Late November 2006.

Bottle: Poured a clear dark brown ale with a huge foamy head that disappeared within thirty second. Aroma is quite spicy and probably the only things that can make me recall its Belgian cousin. The spice dominates taste but fall a little flat because of thin body and lack of carbonation. I also notice an alcohol burn at the end that I didn’t particularly enjoy.

Bottled. Cloudy pale brown. Yeasty and orangey. Light-medium bodied . Toffee and grass is there, as is some almonds. Lively mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Cloudy amber color, poor head. The aroma is malty and herbal, yeasty; nice but strange. Some malt and caramel, some herbs, too dry for its strength. Drinkable but not impressive.

Rather clear ruby-amber; very slim beige head. Nice woody and nutty notes, some green leaves and sweet chocolate, as well as brown candi sugar come out in the aroma. Bitter, some hops but more wood and roasted malt/sugarbitterness. Bitter gets milder, but is always present at the tonguesides, always wood in character. Bit harsh, on a rather sweet base. Flavours of candi sugar, nuts, horseradish. Some burning sensation, well-bodied. Compared to the blonde, a godsend. In itself, not undeserving, though not very similar to the Mc Chouffe.

Orangey-brown. Toffee malts and dark fruits in the aroma. Body is similar, but with added leafy, twiggy notes.
