A hazy red-orange beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of coriander, while the flavor is sweet with notes of both alcohol and coriander.

Bottled. Brownish amber. Sweet and hoppy. Nice, soft malt character. Caramel and cookies dominate until the flowery, very bitter finish.

(2002 version - last brewed beer in Namur)Colour like dark cognac, no head. Fruity, winey nose, liquorice. Soupy taste, coriander, woody. Quite a bit disappointing, no real character but the wood. Thick, chewy mouthfeel. The brewery is closed. The taste, too. 2004-05 Du Bocq version Beautiful red to brown beer; huge yellow-brown head, dense. (4/5)Very rich malty nose, chocolate, bit of green leaves, as aucuba; soapy & vaguely spicey. (7/10)Rich, sweet-bitter taste, bit like chicory or vegetable bitter, roasted malts. Peanuts.(6/10) Bitterish aftertaste, spicey. Very thick, rich body; slick, velvety MF. (4/5)Not better, but technically more rounded beer.(12/20)

Dark ruby ale. Malt aroma. Good body, malty, nevertheless dry; spicy; the caramel taste is enough strong. The aftertaste is bitter, hoppy, with a dominance of bitter caramel.
