Bottle: Poured a brown ale with a medium head with average retention. Aroma is comprised exclusively of some bitterness. Taste is also quite bitter with a medium body. Overall, I would say that this taste like 90% of IPA’s I tasted to date – I’m getting a bit tired of this one-sided style and looking forward to try another IPA with more subtlety.

Thickness in the grapefruit aroma... lotsa hops with kick, rather tha just being overlaced. Appearance is nice: deep amber, almost cloudy... small, but pretty head. Flavor is sweet and sour, with light pine flavor, and a deep malt that is overturned by a back end of lovely hops.

Draught. This is a good solid IPA that resembles the better Western IPA's. A prominent hop aroma with a clean piney-citrusy note to it. Well balanced with good mouthfeel and finish is hoppy. Bottled. Deep copper with a frothy, just off white head. Malty, with good hop balance, woody. Dry finish.

This is kind of a run-of-the-mill IPA courtesy of City Beverage in Winston-Salem. After popping the twist-off cap, this beer pours a dark amber/orange with a very thin off-white head. Very little lacing. Aroma of hops and light citrus. Medium-bodied and a borderline thin at times, with flavors of hops, citrus and some malt. The finish is lightly bitter. A little on the simple side overall but nothing offensive.

Orange-amber, hazy; huge yellow-amber head, slowly dissipating and lacey. Nose gives American hops, citrussy and herbal, some caramel. Very bitter taste, but with a sweet-caramel heart, nearly hidden by the hops. Well-bodied, hops give bitter-bite. Very characteristic, standard American IPA. Good.
