Bottle shared by The_Beer_God. Thanks! Cloudy chocolate brown color with a medium sized head that dissipates quickly. Sour funky aroma with notes of chocolate covered cherries, bourbon and nuts. Sour taste full of funk and some chocolate and nuttiness. Effervescence present but soft. This is very nice.

Courtesy of The_Beer_God. Clear dark brown body with a small creamy white head. Chocolate, spicy, earthy aromas. Light sour, molassas, roasted malts, and light chocolate. Medium light body with moderately high carbonation.

[Sampled at the Pre-GABF Babblefest 2004] An unclear dark brown beer with a nice brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of yeast and spices. The flavor is also sweet with notes of yeast and spices - here coriander stands out, but it also has some hints of sourness to it.

fruit, sugar, raisins and brandy aroma. Huge brown head, red brown. Spices, citrus, wood, earthy strawberries, some coffeeground sournes and bitternes. Citric, yet slightly metallic aftertaste. Relatively lightbodied. A quite unique brew.

Dark brown, no transparancy. Full, brown head, disappearing. Nose brings coffee, spices, chalk first. Later lactic acid, a bit Flemish oud bruin-like, but more roasted malt. Taste is spiced coffee immediately. Sweet base, sourish character, bitterness surrounding; interesting balance. Then the chalk from the nose comes back, with some tobacco-wood notes. Palate is a bit harsh. Full bodied, pappy even. yet reasonnable refreshing. Harsh bitter finish, as rootspice (horseradish, turmeric, arrowroot,...) Typically Prignon. I call him an artist, rather than a brewer. Interesting - no doubt.
