Bottiglia. Alcool presente.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Estery yeasty aroma with malt, fruity notes, sugar. Sugary fruits. Sweet flavour with a light bitterness. Medium body. Alright Tripel, bit sugary.

Hazy blond colour, white foam. Nose of perfume, citrus, oranges. Taste is sweet, with notes of peach, a bit dirty. Not very nice

Pours golden, quite clear. Average sized white head, good enough retention and quite nice lacing. Not much intensity in the aroma: a touch of hay, a candy like sweet base, fruity notes are citric with maybe lighter hints of peach, very light spiciness (can't pick something specific). Overall a not very bright or defined aroma. Taste notes follow the aroma closely, again without much intensity or definition. Medium to high sweetness, medium bitterness, a light sweet edge in both taste and aftertaste; overall nicely balanced with a dry enough finish. Medium to dense body, a little lighter than average per style, average carbonation; goes down relatively quick and smooth for the abv, actually feels slightly refreshing (though it's probably not what you look for in a tripel). Nothing wrong with it overall, no significant flaws, but quite underwhelming: lacks both the depth and intensity you'd expect from a belgian strong ale.

Bottle, 8.1%. Good hay aroma with notes of yeast and clove. Almost clear dark golden colour. Big stable white head. The flavour is malty and sweetish with a good clove note. Hint of metal in the finish along with some slightly rough hops. The carbonation is a bit high for me, but that can be solved easily.
