An Australian Pale Ale with a refreshing balance of malt, hops and yeast characters. Hop additions of Amarillo and Cascade give a wonderful fresh crisp finish with lingering flavours of citrus, passionfruit and peaches. The hop flavours and aromas are matched beautifully with the sweet honey finish from crystal malt.

375ml can from School of Animals, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy light amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, gluey, floral, tropical citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a fresh, crisp, malty, light metallic, mineral, juicy citrus, dry hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Nicely balanced with plenty going on. Very sessionable.

Bottle from the Royal Dick. Appearance - golden amber with a decent head. Nose - sweet malt and faint citrus. Taste - more of the same. Soggy cornflakes but not in a bad way. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - easy drinking ale. Not really complex but imagine it’d be great in the heat.

330ml bottle. Clear, orangey, deep golden colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Floral, mildly herbal and slightly grassy, hoppy aroma, a touch of mint and woodruff. Taste is quite identical on a mellow caramel and biscuity malty basis; soft palate, gentle carbonation. A bit too well-behaved but with subtle qualities.

330ml bottle. Pours clear golden yellow. Faint hops nose. Corny unbalanced taste. This ale hints at many things, but doesn’t have the courage to strike for it. Odd.
