Next, we decided to take our famous seasonal Christmas Bomb! and age it in whiskey barrels because nothing says Christmas like cinnamon, vanilla, chocolate, Spaceship Earth coffee, ancho chiles, and WHISKEY.
My kids leave this beer out for Santa every year, and SANTA IS VERY PLEASED ABOUT IT.

Bottle – Pours a black colour with a small fine foamy tan head. Aroma is rich roasted malts, dark chocolate, cinnamon and vanilla. A sweet rich chocolatey taste, toasted malt, cinnamon, woody spice with some subtle whiskey and chilli flavours. Thick and chewy with a warming alcohol finish. Lovely.

#ddbsmallbatchep1 my first BA prairie? Or I guess the noirs count? Damn decadent and damn Christmas. Christmas brownies. Also very much whiskey. Cinnamon nose galore. All that and super smooth too! That crispy barrel finish.

(Bottle sample @ Himmeriget, Copenhagen, May 10/18, thanks inbreak!) Pours black with little head. Notes of dark burnt sugar and toffee, rich dark malt, cinnamon, chocolate, dark fruit, moderate bourbon, vanilla, a little earthy coffee, some dough or cake, chili is very soft and only complements the spicebox vibe. Rather sweet up front, finishing semi-dry, moderately roasty bitterness, lingering cinnamon and chili along with bourbon, vanilla and soft chocolate. Long aftertaste. Medium-full body and soft carbonation. Rich, balanced, the "Christmas' vibe is surprisingly complementary. One of the best Bomb variants out there.

At ratebeer best pours out black topped with a small tan head. Nose is wood spice cinnamon chocolate and some Christmas tree, not really just thought it would be funny to say that. Taste is more of the nice chocolate wood notes and cinnamon.

Bottle sample @RB Best. Pours opaque black, small tan head that dissipates slowly leaving good lacing. Aroma is bourbon, chocolate, cinnamon, spices, vanilla, cocoa, light chili pepper. Flavor is light bitter, really sweet, light chili spice. The bourbon comes through strong but does not destroy the cinnamon and chili pepper notes. If anything the coffee is what gets left behind in this BA masterpiece.
