33cl bottle from Sainsburys. Reddish chestnut with a loose beige head; slightly spicy treacly aroma; the oak is apparent immediately giving a woody edge with a slight hint of vanilla to the sugary sweet malts; the oak also provides some dryness to the finish, masking some of the alcohol. I’m not sure I’d call this a Porter, but it’s reasonably pleasant, whatever it is.

Sample at a tasting at Systembolaget in October 2012. This must be the brightest Porter I’ve seen in my entire life, it was "golden brown". Very sweet with malt, wood, vanilla, some fruit and something chemical. I’m skeptical.

Bottle @ Voldby ølmesse. ABV 7.4 %. Clear dark amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and wood. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. More English strong ale than porter in my opinion. 250812
