Cloudy, heavy botanical nose- sage, anise, pepper and vanilla. Tart, vanilla, and again the anise and sage botanical character. Ok.

Tap at City Beer. Pours hazy amber. Aroma is olives, Mediterranean herbs, barrel. Body is medium, quite sour, also herbal. Has a bit the air of a martini indeed, but it doesn’t blend so well with the strong sourness. OK.

Draft - Tons of herbal aromatics, minty and sweet. Cloudy yellow gold with a decent white head. Soapy, herbal and nice. An acquired taste that I really like.

On tap at Cascade, pours a murky orangey brown with a small white head. Aroma brings out tart stone fruits, oak and a touch of gin. Flavour brings out massive gin notes, with medium tartness and light oak. Dominated by the gin without it being too boozy. Unusual for Cascade, but really nice. Solid stuff.

Draft pour at the barrel house.  From notes. 2014.  Pours a yellowish orange color with a big foam head.  I will say right now, I have never had a beer anything like this.  Has almost a medicinal aromatherapy factor to it.  Fresh mint like flavor with an apparent gin presence.  You can feel this beer in the nose. Like a Vicks vapor.  For some reason I can’t stop drinking this.  Strange for sure, and really good too.  Fun beer.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy orange gold with medium frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is strong gin, wheat, and oak. Thin mouth with similar flavors to nose, light tartness, boozey, dry finish, very good.
