Gold with a frothy, white head. Aroma promises grapefruit, lemon peel, caramel. Taste is bitter throughout. Finishes a bit like a Landbier, grassy and herbal. Body to the light side of medium, aggressive carbonation, which seems to be a prevalent characteristic of beers from the region. Ok

Tap. Pours unclear yellow. Aroma is citric and grassy hops, lime, grapefruit, little butter. Body is light and crisp, with a light backbone to support the hops, still little butter and also some cardboard. Quite bitter. Sweetish palate. Enjoyable, but too sweet for a refreshing beer and not full enough to be good as a sweet beer.

Bottle from Au Brin De Paille, Colmar, Alsace, France, consumed at Camping Trois Château Eguisheim, Alsace, France, Tuesday 21st June 2016 the Summer Solstice. Hazy gold/amber, with a white sticky head. A touch of vanilla, it’s a good solid blonde, it’s not exciting but it’s very drinkable. I like this more than Loz, bit gassy but very pleasant.
