Quite hazy deep pink (surprise, surprise!) coloured body with a nice orange tint and a mango glow, all with a relatively thin, fast-dying one to two centimetre tall off-white head that fades to just about nothing a few seconds later. Aroma of soured and tart fruit with strawberries, light raspberries, blueberries and some citrus all noticeable, along with some light malts and a dash of funky yeast all showing through along with a touch of lactobilly notes and some funk on the tail end. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong and pungent lactose and creamy note up front with a dash of flowers and dryer notes, then showing some softer sugars from caster sugar, candy and citrus fruits along with a pungent and noticeable malt backbone that has hints of the strawberries, raspberries and especially blueberries, but they aren't horribly strong. Aftertaste shows a nice balance of funk, dryness, soured and tart fruits and a smooth and enjoyable yeast quality that tastes more like a berliner weisse than any wild/soured traditional beer. Overall, a funky and interesting beer that is very light in body and alcohl, but super strong in terms of flavours initially and especially in the long-run, with such a light alcohol bite to full-complexity beer makes this one really worth drinking in the summertime. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Hy-Vee in Omaha, Nebraska on 14-March-2018 for US$1,67 sampled at my house here in Washington on 03-July-2020 after just returning from the middle of the country again, this time from South Dakota.

Best before date of January 10th 2020 on the bottom of the can.

Pours a clear red in the glass though it looked pink while I was pouring it. Foam is on the pinkish side. It shrinks quickly but not completely. A wee bit of lacing.

Smells tart, vegetal, apples and ginger are pretty easy to recognize.

Light fruity tartness taste, some ginger, sour apples, very vegetal but agreeable to my palate. Apple tartness grows with each sip but maxes out before I could really call it sour.

Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

Nice brew but...when I finish the 6pack, I'll be done. Too many other beers to check out.

Tap at Bishops Arms Östersund. Red fruit sour aroma. Rosé colour. Sour red fruit sweetness, far too sweet for me.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, best before 10/3/2019. Pours slightly hazy medium orange/amber, light reddish/pinkish color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, ginger, red/green apple, peach, pear, melon, apricot, carrots, beets, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, apples, carrots, ginger, beets, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, ginger, red/green apple, peach, pear, melon, apricot, carrots, beets, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate lactic tart/sourness, and ginger spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, ginger, red/green apple, peach, pear, melon, apricot, carrots, beets, red grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, apples, carrots, ginger, beets, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt, tart, spicy, sourness balance; and no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering sour/tartness, spiciness, and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth and moderately bready/grainy/acidic/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.1%. Overall this is an excellent fruit/spice/vegetable kettle sour. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, apples, carrots, ginger, beets, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/clean/refreshing to drink with the modestly acidic/sticky/drying finish; not overly lactic. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Great balance of apples, ginger, carrots, beets, and Lacto complexity; with a nice pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp acidic dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressively well made style example. Beets weren't overdone, they usually have an unpleasant earthy dirt flavor, but were not overwhelming at all.
