From tap at Moeder Lambic Original - the owner told me this is brewed very limitedly and proudly stated his keg was the last one around for the time being. Very thick and rocky, heavily lacing, stable, off-white head over a hazy, deep golden blonde beer, looks pretty. Aroma of acacia honey, tangelo, orange juice, ripe plum, pineapple, white bread, peach. Soft, vividly fruity, sweet onset of exotic fruits and apricot, smooth, bready and a bit caramelly, sourish accent adds refreshment, mineral touch, very florally and citrussy aromatic hop finish, spicy but not thoroughly bittering - a bit like in Troubadour Magma; this allows the estery and malty fruit sweetness to linger. One of the best Belgian IPAs I had so far.

Surprised to see an American Red Indian on the label of this Belgian IPA: I guess it’s because of the American hops used in the brew. Anyway I had a glass of this at the 2014 Brugge Beer Festival and I really enjoyed it. Deep blond to golden in body with a white-ish head. The nose had a citrus lead with some sweeter fruit esters too. Taste wise it was again on the citrus side but not as pronounced as in the aroma. The lemon flavour being subdued by a mild maltiness and yeast hint. Good bitter finish to each sip: a good and balanced IPA, American or not.
