Een blond bier met een mooie combinatie van frisse, fruitige smaken, uitnodigend bitter en met tonen van lychee en citrus. Door het voorzichtige gebruik van Amerikaanse hopsoorten en een verfijnde nagisting achteraf uitermate geschikt als dorstlesser of als begeleider van een maaltijd. Pandora is ons bekendste bier.
De drie oprichters van Brouwerij Maximus waren in 2005 al op zoek naar een bier dat niet te zwaar in alcohol is, makkelijk drinkt, waarbij door een medium koolzuurgehalte de smaak beter tot zijn recht komt. Dit heeft geresulteerd in een Dutch Pale Ale die ook bij het derde glas nog steeds verrassend is.
Winnaar Zilver op de Dutch Beer Challenge 2019 in de hoofdcategorie Blond.

33cl Bottle from Bert’s Bierhuis, thanks Henkie! Hazy orange amber colour, off white head. Aroma is very fruity, tropical fruits, some citrus hops, sugar. Flavour is rather sweet, tropical fruits, pineapple, sugar, nice citrus hoppiness, but the mouthfeel is too thin imo, the sweet fruitiness becomes cloying rather quickly. Light bodied.

C: Very hazy orange with lots of yeast present, even though benzai and me poured it quite carefully. Smells like grapefruit and hops, but also some food smell is present. Tastes fruity and hoppy. Great mouthfeel.

Bottle @ home shared with DutchDrebus. Slightly hazy light orange, small white head. Light hoppy, fruity smell, nice light bitter taste. Carbonation decent, medium body. Not bad at all.

Draft at Arends nest. Golden slightly hazy pour with medium white head. Aroma is hoppy and a little grassy with some slight malt and sweetness. Flavour is soft with grapefruit, citrus, caramel and a bitter finish. Low carbonation and soft mouthfeel. Nice beer on a sunny day like today!

Bottled @ Kafe Belgie. Cloudy yellow to golden color, medium white head. Aroma of a lot of simcoe hops, bit sweet, hint of citrus. Very bitter taste. Although I preferred the Brutus, Maximus is a very promising young brewery!
