Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is sweet brown and dark malt with chocolate, caramel, raisins, light roast, touch of spicy yeast, dried fruits, burnt sugar, hint of alcohol. Flavour is sweet with a moderate roasty bitterness. Body is above medium. Decent Quad, not very complex, chocolate malt is rather prominent for the style.

ABV: 9.5%. Cloudy dark brown colour with a small average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, toasted - roasted, caramel, moderate yeasty, fruity yeast, wood, yeast, light phenolic. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, dark malt, fruity yeast, wood, caramel, raisin, caramelized malt - caramelized fruit, . Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20190927]

Sampled at Borefts Beer Festival 2019, day 1. Bottle shared by Sjogro. Thnks! Brown color, virtually no head. Aroma is malts, caramel. Flavor is malts, caramel, sweetness, somewhat boozy and unbalanced with some rough edges, but not bad at all.

Bottle. Murky brown color with beige head. Aroma is straw, phenolic, caramel, raisins. Taste is the same. Silky mouthfeel with medium to high carbonation. Not great.

Borefts XI, Day 1. Bottle from somewhere, cheers! Hazy deep amber beer, small cream colour head. Smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Thin malts, a light creamy sweetness. Good dried fruits. Pinch of spice. Light and semi dry finish. Fine.

Pretty cloudy dark amber to red brown beer, small creamy beige head, stable, non adhesive. Aroma: very malty, sweet, caramel, raisins, dried fruits. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter start, very malty, grains, hay, cow fodder, doesn't smell like a quad should... Aftertaste: soft bitterness, bit fruity, alcohol touch, sugary caramel. Pretty underwhelming for a quad...
