気まぐれシリーズ第１８弾 (３８２と３８３バッチ目)：夏から秋に移りゆく季節には、飲みたいビールも目移りしますよね。残暑をしのぐためのトロピカルなIPA？それとも、涼しくなってきたから芳醇な味わいのアンバーエール？そんなお悩みのあなたにぴったりなのが、秋の気まぐれ(ver.2019)なのです！

芳醇な麦芽の甘味と深みを演出するために、モルトレシピにはお気に入りのSimpsons社のRed Rye CrystalとMedium Crystalを。トロピカルな気分を味わっていただくために、ホップはIdaho7とMosaicを組み合わせました。このホップの組み合わせは以前から試してみたくてうずうずしていたのですが、ダンクでトロピカルなキャラクターのIdaho7は、ユニークでクリスタルモルトともよく調和しています（「ダンク」とは日本語で表現しづらく、個人的には【黄緑がかった鮮やかな茶色を連想させる香り】です）。メロンのようなトロピカルな香りは鮮やかな果実感を醸し出してくれています。気まぐれな秋の空には、「秋の気まぐれ」がピッタリなのです。

Our 18th beer in our 'Kimagure' series (our 382nd and 383rd batch): As we transition from summer to fall it can be hard to know what beers to reach for. Is it still warm enough outside to need the tropically refreshing character from a hoppy IPA? Or is it cooling off enough to reach for the rich and malty character of an Amber Ale? We think we have found a jack of all trades in the 2019 version of Aki no Kimagure!

To bring both of these realms together, we called upon an old favourite, Red Rye Crystal, alongside a medium crystal malt, both from Simpsons Malt in the UK, to create a deep and luscious background malt character. For the hoppy punch, we looked to a blend of Idaho 7 and Mosaic, a hop combination we have been itching to try for some time. The dank tropical character of Idaho 7 is quite unique and melds well with the crystal malts, while the melon-like tropical character from Mosaic gives a fresh fruity accent. We think you will agree this hoppy amber is a beer for any fall occasion!
