0.33 l bottle from 'CraftBeer-Dealer.com', best before July 2018. Slight gusher! Pitch black with a massive, foamy, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty, moderately sourish-fruity and a little smoky aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, red berries, some brett funk, a bit of oak and traces of peat. Quite sweet, malty, roasty, sourish-funky, quite fruity and a little smoky taste of dark chocolate, licorice, coffee, red berries, brett funk, some oak and hints of peat, followed by a medium long, moderately quite roasty-bitter, slightly tart, woody-dry, moderately funky and abit smoky finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Actually a pretty nice beer, but I guess it's not been intended as a Sour Stout but it's just infected again. Would like to try more Braustelle beers as they have been intended in the future again.

Bottle. Gushing. Pitch black with a small beige head. Aroma of bitter hops, sourish roasted malts, chocolate and some lovely peat smoke. Taste is roasted malts, dark chocolate, a hint of coffee and some red fruits. Long lasting aftertaste of bitter hops and a little bit of smoke. Tart and dry. Medium carbonation. Balanced and yummy.

6 3 7 3 13 Bottle shared. Slight gusher. Dark brown with a big beige head. Aroma of roast, light smoke, overripe dark fruits, yeast, malt and raisins. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Deep black with big beige head. Aroma is dark chocolate, caramel, resin, plums, cocoa, grassy hops, smoke. Taste is sweet phenolic licorice, sour carbonation, deep bitter coffee. Oily mouthfeel, really full bodied with much heaviness. Finish is more coca, chocolate, a boozey touch. So complex and nice. WOW!

330ml Bottle - Very dark brown, almost black, with a foamy tan head. Liquorice, smoked malt and brown sugar in the aroma. Tangy, roasted and slightly sweet taste with liquorice standing out along with notes of cocoa, coffee and dried fruit.

Dark brown, nearly black color, with big beige head. Aroma is surprisingly funky, tart berries, plums, roasted malts. Taste is definitely black, roasted malts, a hint of coffee. Not bad! Has a nice alternation between roasted malts and tartness. Nice long aftertaste.
