A maroon 'Dubbel' with a malty and spicy fragrance, a mildly bitter flavour and a dry aftertaste. Her sweet scents of licorice and rock candy accompany her full taste of fruit and spices. This fiery flame has a spicy character but is mild to handle.

33 cl. bottle @ home, gift from my parents in law. Red brown with a beige head. Fruity malty caramel aroma. Bittersweet flavours with some hops but overall a bit thin. Short but nice aftertaste. A decent but too thinbodied dubbel

donker bruin, met zeer snel slinkende kraag aroma van karamel en fruit, en gerst over het algemeen een vrij vlakke smaak met lichte drop, en lichte body, zelfs wat te waterig droge licht bittere afdronk

A chestnut brown beer with an almost medium, light brown head. Aroma of dark fruits, prune, sweet raisins, some roastiness and hint of cherries and yeast, nice aroma. Taste of dark fruits, raisins, quite light and taste could be more strenght, quite dry, some spice and earthyness in the aftertaste. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, surprisingly lightweight to drink. The good aroma, more interesting than usual Dubbel, this beer is the positive surprise.

Bottle from 2 be. Pours dark amber/brown with a 3 finger foamy yellow/beige head. Aroma of darker fruits - prunes/raisins/dates - but not super strong. Near med body. Flavor is moderate darker fruits with slight hints of chocolate and cola. Finishes with a little malt, but seems dusty dry. Very different and nice beer.

Little cloudy red brown beer, creamy light beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet malty, caramel, raisins, alcohol, dried fruits, little chocolaty. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: dried fruits, oranges, sweet sugary touch, bit vinous, slightly sour, some caramel. Aftertaste: orange peel, bit sweet ,lots of raisins, dried figs, brown sugar and caramel, little bitter in the end. The bottle was a bit old, but it's a mighty beer.
