The Lantern is a bit of a metaphor for the fragile and sacred fire that we preserve to advance into the unknown. Beyond beer as a product of conviviality and pleasure, it is also the Lantern which will guide us in the first steps of nanobrewery. This dry and light IPA gives pride of place to American hops to develop a refreshing bitterness and a beautiful aromatic palette. Till 2017 brewed at Brasserie de Bastogne (Minne).

Blond colour with fluffy head. Aroma and flavour have a little floral hop and some fruity esters perhaps from the yeast. Subtle but well balanced.

Tap, at the new L’Ermitage place. Soft haze on a straw colour. Fine white head is lasting and fully lacing. Nose has sweet lemon and orange. Fresh, clean malt. Some pineapple and peach. Taste is similarly clean and crisp. Bright bitterness. Light body. Fine carbonation. Lingering crisp bitterness to finish. Very nice.

Very malty, bit twiggy almost. Finish is pure barley. Quite soft, maybe British style almost. Something candy like about it. Decent
