440ml can. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of dark malts, roast, dark chocolate, coffee. Taste is chocolatey, roasty, dark malts, coffee, a little berry and liquorice, sweet but good bitterness from the roast, well balanced. Full bodied, thick mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Excellent.

440ml can, shared with Finn at Chez Sophie. Patchy off-white head, spotty lacing down the glass, black in the glass. Delicate aromas of dark chocolate malts. Rich black malts taste character of chocolate, liquorice, and coffee on a backbone of molasses. Roasted bitter ending. Well bodied. Lovely. (Shrewsbury 05.10.2018).
