Cuerpo ligero a medio algo espumoso y gas. Normal.

Bottled. Hazy deep brown colour. Well-lacing capuccino-coloured head. Stays. Aroma: caramel, toffee, toast, fruit esters, Belgian yeast, a touch of nail polish. Medium body. The taste follows the nose with the exception of minor roastiness present. Medium sweet. Warming. Low to light bitterness. Stout? No way. Just a middle-of-the-road BSDA with a minor roast nuance.

Bottle at home. Brown, some red, color. Beige/brown head. The taste is a little soft compared to the abv of 9%. For an imperial stout I expected more taste.

Medium brown color. Off white head. Big Belgian yeasty nose with a bit of winey character. Thin body for the style not super balanced. Despite how bad it looks for the style and how thin it tastes, it’s not that bad.

Bottle from Beautiful Beers, Bury St Edmunds. Pours very dark brown with a lasting beige head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, liquorice, dark fruits. Medium sweetness, some roasted bitterness, touch of sour. Medium to full body, slick texture, not highly carbonated but fizzy mouthfeel. Dry chalky sweet milk chocolate finish.

Pours hazy dark brown to black with a frothy tan head. The aroma contains roasted malts, coffee, spices and some chocolate. It tastes medium to heavy sweet and light bitter. Lingering but light roasted finish. Oily texture and soft carbonation. More like a Dubbel than a real Stout, but I’d drink it again anyway.

F: pale brown, average, average lasting, diminishing to thin film. C: dark red ruby to dark. A: sweet, dark fruit, some yeast, blackberries. T: sweet, fruity, malty, yeasty, only some tones of stout, hint of coffee, chocolate, sweet dried fruits like dates, figs, too sweet and quite simple for IS, but beside the style quite good beer, 0,33l bottle from Delhaize in Brussels, medium body, average carbo, nice bitterness on the palate together with pleasant sweetness.

Talkpoederachtig in de mond met scherpe koolzuur. Smaak zacht en zoet, chocolade, vanille, melasse. Bijna RIS dit! Geur lekker. Nasmaak top! Backlog from 2015/05/02.
