Klassisch rotbraune Farbe.

Bottle, 2013 version. I will leave out a detailed rating and just enjoy this beer as it is in respect of Gerhard Forstner who passed away today. Many thanks for pioneering Austrian craft beer, your achievement will be remembered. Prost!

Bottle for breakfast in a Bratislava hotel. ABV of 6.6%. Pours a slightly foggy brown with a sturdy, creamy tan head. Strong toasted dark bread aroma, some burnt sugars, earth and light grass. Flavor is somewhat odd. There is a slight tanginess here, some dry toast, light sugar, grass, tree bark. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Hints of beef. Still touches of tang in the finish, and a somewhat faded malt character. I’m guessing this beer isn’t in top condition.
