A bottom-fermented premium lager made using malt, brewers’ maize hops and water. The very best raw materials, a long maturation and the lightness of the water from the Biella Alps have, since 1846, given this beer a satisfying and refined taste profile. A balanced beer with a noteworthy floral and fruity aroma thanks to the special yeasts used in its manufacture.

330ml bottle into glass. Sweet malt/corn nose. Pours a pale yellow with a solid two finger white head. A few bubbles here and there. Quite zingy in the mouth. Thin texture but not watery. A little bitterness. Finish is abrupt, sweet, papery, even a touch of fruit. Not bad, easy drinking.

Bottle bought in San Marino as Birra Dalla Storia (part of historical figures series this bottle featuring Ernesto Guevara). Pours a golden colour with white head. Aroma is mildly hoppy with grass and corn. Medium sweetness and high bitterness. Quite high carbonation. Thin body. Finish is bitter and not especially nice.
