Our “San Diego Pale Ale.” Hop-driven from two key hops: citrus and pine from the wonderful and classic American Cascade, paired perfectly with the bright fruit and dankness of Australian Galaxy. With moderate bitterness and just enough malt backbone to elevate the hops, this Pale Ale is super-refreshing.

When it came to creating Ripper, we drew inspiration from the coastal surf cultures of SoCal and Oz. Sourcing classic Cascade from the Pacific Northwest and Australian Galaxy hops from…yes…Australia, we made a beer both lovers of frothy peaks and hoppy green buds will be stoked about. At the same time, we stayed true to our San Diego roots by pushing the hop boundaries of this style. While some might think it lingers on an edge far closer to an IPA, with all the dry-hop flavor and aroma, it’s actually right in line with the current-day interpretation of a West Coast pale. Ours just so happens to have an Aussie accent that’s cascading with a juicy amount of grapefruit and passion fruit hoppiness. So veg out or venture out. Either way, rip one open and taste this awesome golden nectar!

0.33l can from Stockmann, Tallinn. Brewed in Stone Berlin. Pours amber, relatively clear but not 100%. Nose is sweetish fruity, full load of hops there but balanced with the body. Taste is also pleasantly fruity - but not without a hop kick. Tasty brew, somewhat grainy body but overall I can enjoy this.

Can 33 cl. Pours a clear amber golden with an off-white head. Nose is mainly malty, slightly caramellish. Medium body, again quite malty before a brutal, late bitterness sets in. I've always found Stone's hoppy beer to be all about IBU's and very little about aroma. This is a perfect example. Very old school West Coast. 040618

Can at home in garden, canned 5th April 18, consumed, 7th May 18. Pours clear amber. Aroma is hop forward, citrusy, slight pine. Taste is really bitter, citrus and pine, spiky bitter hop kick, very fresh. Lovely bitter one.

Can at 100 piv. Commercial description pretty spot on. Lots of fruity exotic hops flavours and aromas, med-high bitterness. Barely moderate carbonation though, could use more. Still very tasty and easy drinking.
