330ml bottle, pours black with a beige head. Aromas & tastes of flora, dried fruits, brown bread, toffee & malt. Medium body. Sweet finish

Schwarze Farbe mit beiger Schaumkrone. Malziger, röstmalziger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, röstmalzig mit Kaffee. Hohe Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Dunkler Schaum, sehr dunkles Bier (selbst wenn man es gegen das Licht hält, kommt da fast nix durch). Röstmalz und deutlich Kaffeenoten bestimmen dieses Bier. Aber ohne große Süße. Florale Nuancen spielen in der zweiten Reihe mit rein, zusammen mit Spuren von Traubenzucker und Likör. Mit Hopfen ist glaube ich gar nicht viel, die deutlich bitteren Noten kommen eher von der starken Röstung. Schön weich, nicht viel Kohlensäure. Ein wirklich extremes, sehr geschmacksintensives Bier, das erstaunlicher Weise aber doch harmonisch und sogar recht süffig ist. Dem Durchschnittskonsument ist das vermutlich trotzdem kaum vermittelbar. Das Bier ist ganz klar ein hochinteressantes Nischenprodukt für Liebhaber.

Ein Schwarzes, das wirklich brutal bitter und trocken ist. Es hat zwar ordentlich Aromen, aber man kann sie nicht wirklich genießen, da sie sich gegenseitig blockieren und die Bitterkeit die Zunge lähmt. Mir ist es zu brutal.

Bottle at home, thanks to Geiserich, 09/11/18. Pitch black with a well presented tan covering that retains well. Nose is dried fruits, light charr, brown bread, toffee, baking powder. Taste comprises treacle toffee, light spice, raisins, brown bread, slightly burnt brown sugar, mellow roast, kiss of liquorice. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, semi drying close. Solid schwarz action.

F: huge, dark tanned, long lasting. C: black, opaque. A: dark malts, chocolate, dark fruits, bit roasted tones, bit spicy. T: dark malts, light dark chocolate, earthy, bit tobacco even, bit nutty, dark caramel, dry dark fruits, light roasted tones, very rich taste for such abv, medium to full body, medium carbonation, very nice, enjoyed, 33cl bottle (5,2%) from trade with Werckmeister, many thanks.

Raisins, caramel, grains, lightly sour coffee, butterscotch. Very tasty.

330 mml bottle as part of the European Local Swap 3/2017, many thanks to herrklemann for this one. Deep brown colour with a medium tan head. Aroma of bread, chocolate and burnt grains. Taste is intense grainy, nuts, some caramel and burnt malts. Finish is dry and slightly sweet. Next one please!

Bottle. Pours black with an off-white head. Aroma is coffee, caramel, toffee, grassy hops. Body is medium, sweet and portery bitter. Very pleasant flavours, coffee and chocolate again. Dryish. Very good.
