Our brewers have used the finest seasonal ingredients to lovingly craft an ale that offers an intriguing balance of flavours within a unique, and very special flavour profile. Dry-hopped with Mosaic hops, this red Ale has complex aromas and flavour of tropical and stone fruit, underlined with pine and citrus hop notes and as with all of our Ales, there are no additives and no preservatives. Compass malt is used with the barley sourced from the Murray Mallee region of South Australia.

(bottle 0,355l; version 2017) Overall: Good sipper. Quite complex, but lighter and softer. Aroma: Sweet, overripe fruits, raisins, light dark malts, caramel, later light alcohol. Appearance: Clear dark amber. Minimal off-white head. Taste: Medium sweet, overripe fruits, caramel, toasty malty, some woody/tanins/vintage, light alcohol. Palate: Medium body. Oily texture. Bitter, light astringent, light warm finish.

Thuis uit een flesje, de 2017 versie. Troebel bruine kleur, weinig lichtbruin schuim. Caramel in het aroma, ook in de smaak. De smaak neigt naar een hoog abv, veel meer dan de 7,5. Ook licht bitter in de nasmaak. Gemengde indrukken.

2008 bottle. Amber color. Vinous, slightly dusty aroma with notes of toffee and cognac. Vinous, slightly perfumed flavor, slightly dusty with cognac notes. Slightly alcoholic. Malty and matured (perhaps a bit too matured) but the balance could be better.

Tastes lightly liquorice-like and malty. But it is two years old, and tastes a little oxidized. But underneath, I think there is a good beer hiding if younger and clear. belgian beer factory online

bottiglia 355 ml, vintage 2016, schiuma beige fine pannosa persistente, colore ambrato carico limpido, al naso è intensa esteri noci pepe spezie vino porto liquore, in bocca malto caramello spezie legno e inteso vino porto, corpo rotondo, carbonazione moderata, secca, amaro moderato. Bottle kindly shared by Dejan, thanks pal. Pours hazy amber. Strong alcohol on nose with malts. Tastes coffee, caramel, warming alcohol. Very nice.
